Hank Zolkiewicz brings decades of maintenance and building systems experience to Elmhurst’s operations team. Based at Airside Business Park and available to support any property that needs coverage, he focuses on keeping equipment running, issues resolved, and tenants comfortable. Colleagues rely on him for his steady presence, practical judgment, and willingness to step in wherever he is needed. For investors and tenants, his work helps protect long-term asset value while keeping day-to-day operations smooth.

Professional Journey

At Elmhurst, Hank serves as a floating facilities lead who can plug into any site as needed. From his base at Airside Business Park, he supports preventive maintenance, day-to-day repairs, and contractor coordination, stepping in when a site manager is out or when a property needs extra hands-on support. His familiarity with industrial systems and his calm approach to troubleshooting allow him to solve problems quickly and with minimal disruption to tenants.

Before joining Elmhurst, Hank built deep experience in complex, high-demand environments. He worked as a Lead Technician at Curahealth Pittsburgh and as a Building Engineer with CBRE, where he handled lighting and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical work, painting, inventory, and contractor oversight for a 515,000 square foot building, while completing extensive safety training each year. These roles sharpened his ability to manage large facilities, prioritize work, and keep building systems reliable for both owners and occupants.

Earlier in his career, he worked in plumbing and mechanical trades, followed by nearly two decades as Maintenance and Damage Manager for Cendant Car Rental Group / Avis. There, he oversaw fleet maintenance, coordinated repairs, managed vendors, and led teams responsible for safety and quality across multiple locations. That combination of technical skill, leadership, and customer-oriented service carries into his role at Elmhurst today, where he helps ensure that each property he touches meets the firm’s standards for safety, reliability, and long-term stewardship.
